I’m that guy now. The new guy. The guy I’ve hated so many times before. That douchebag who is with the girl of his dreams, while that girl is still in someone else’s dreams. I don’t like to hurt people, and I hate to be hated, but relationships are messy things and sometimes people just get hurt. I saw the message he sent her. The “I just want you to be happy” hardest message anyone ever has to write. It was so strikingly similar to something I’ve written before that it bothers me, when I know it shouldn’t. I’m happy and she’s happy and I’m sorry. I don’t know you, and you’ll never read this but know I’m sorry.
